Judi Health (formerly Capital Rx) Raises $400M to Scale AI-Powered Benefits Platform, Expands Beyond Pharmacy

Capital Rx, Inc., an enterprise health technology company and benefits administrator, has secured $400 million in latest funding to accelerate its AI-powered benefits platform. In tandem, the company is rebranding as Judi Health to reflect its evolution from pharmacy benefit management toward full-spectrum benefits technology.

Judi Health (formerly Capital Rx) Raises $400M

What’s New & Why It Matters

  • The financing includes a $252 million Series F round plus additional investments aimed at scaling operations. The round is led by Wellington Management and General Catalyst, with participation from firms including Generation Investment Management, Goldman Sachs Growth Equity, 9Yards Capital, B Capital, Edison Partners, Prime Health Investments, and Transformation Capital.
  • With the rebrand to Judi Health, the company is expanding its scope. It will offer full health benefit administration (pharmacy, medical, dental, vision) via its Enterprise Health Platform (EHP), unifying claims processing, benefit navigation, and workflows.
  • Capital Rx will continue operating its transparent pharmacy benefit management (PBM) business, recognized for aligned fee models and member-centric service. Under the Judi Health umbrella, services such as “Judi Health™” and “Judi®” are being positioned as key components of the broader benefits platform.

Traction & Scale

  • The company already supports over 4 million employer PBM members and has contracted over 54 million health plan lives to run on its platform.
  • Judi Health serves large scale employers, health systems, academic institutions, Medicare & Medicaid plans, and unions.
  • The move comes amid accelerating cost pressures in U.S. healthcare, where benefit administration inefficiencies, lack of claims transparency, and misaligned incentives are pushing employers and plans to look for more integrated, user-friendly solutions.

What’s Next & Challenges

  • Scaling Beyond Pharmacy: Integrating medical, dental, and vision benefits — along with unified medical + pharmacy claims workflows — is complex. It involves aligning data systems, regulatory compliance, provider networks, and pricing transparency across benefit silos.
  • AI & Platform Infrastructure: Judi Health aims to leverage AI to improve care navigation, transparency, member experience, and administrative efficiency. Maintaining robust privacy, security, and fairness in AI models will be important.
  • Cost Pressure & Customer Demands: Employers are increasingly demanding clarity, flexibility, lower overhead, and more control over benefit design. Judi’s ability to deliver value in this context will be key to its ongoing growth.
